INDIAN ECONOMY DURING PANDEMIC: NEW CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES April 28-29, 2022 Organised by: DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS in collaboration with Haryana Economic Association CHAUDHARY RANBIR SINGH UNIVERSITY, JIND HARYANA, INDIA -- 1 of 4 -- About the University Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (CRSU) was established by the State Legislature Act 28, of 2014 on July 24, 2014. The university was established with the vision of imparting quality education by creating the most conducive ambience for the creation and dissemination of knowledge guided by innovative thinking, scientific enquiry, sublime human values, sustainable ecology and democratic ethos. The university has a sprawling campus of 75 acres. About the Department The Department of Economics, CRSU, Jind was established in July 2014. Since then, the Department has been emerging as a centre of excellence in academics and research. The department offers M.A. and Ph.D. programmes besides providing a wide range of curricular and co-curricular activities like lectures, seminars and group discussions for the holistic development of students. Some of the leading research areas of the Department are agricultural Economics, international trade, rural development infrastructure issues, labour and industrial issues. About the Haryana Economic Association Haryana Economic Association was formed in 1979 to promote teaching and research in economic theory in relation to economic science in general and the economy of Haryana in particular. HEA has been publishing a bi-annual refereed journal under the title ‘Kautilya- Haryana Economic Journal. The main aims of the journal are to promote professional and academic research in all the areas of economics covering multidimensional aspects of the Indian economy in general and the Haryana economy in particular. About the Conference The 32nd Annual Conference of HEA on “Indian Economy During Pandemic: New Challenges and Opportunities” is being organized by the Department of Economics, Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (CRSU), Jind in collaboration with the Haryana Economic Association. This collaboration would raise the academic standard of the conference and will go a long way in strengthening and will also be helpful in providing academic expression to the students, research scholars, teachers and academicians.
