Notification Subject: Amendment in the eligibility criteria of Abhinandan: Veer Balidani Kritagyata Yojna (AVBKY). It is hereby informed to all concerned that the Executive Council in its 43rd meeting held on 07.05.2026 vide agenda item no. EC/ SP/01 has approved the amendment in scholarship scheme Abhinandan: Veer Balidani Kritagyata Yojna (AVBKY) with the objective of providing skill-based education opportunities to the spouses and wards of martyrs and gallantry award winners of the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, and State Police. The scheme provides scholarships (10 per academic session) covering tuition fee, hostel, mess, uniform, and annual to-and-fro rail fare.Now onwards from session 2026-27, this scheme shall be applicable with the aim of providing opportunities for skill-based education to:  Spouses and wards of martyrs  Spouses and wards of Gallantry award winners including him self and herself among members of the security forces  Spouses and wards of security personnel who died during service tenure due to any reason.
